Mountain Grout Strong
Soil erosion and landslides cause a wide variety of troublesome issues, from the loss of topsoil and vegetation, to the silting of streams, and even as far as long term highway shut downs and loss of life.
Mountain Grout Polyurethane Resins are an excellent way help stop erosion along roadways, waterways, job sites, and other areas where it is imperative to keep soil where it belongs. Polyurethane resin injection, also referred to as “rock gluing” has been used since the 1960’s to stabilize unstable strata in underground coal mines. Low viscosity polyurethane resins can be injected directly into the soil to solidify and strengthen the loose soil. Higher viscosity resins can be used to fill large voids between boulders and large fissures. Higher viscosity resins can also be used to help glue tiebacks into the bedrock and inhibit groundwater from compromising the tie backs themselves. Often, a combination of anchors, cementitious grout, and polyurethane resin is the most effective solution for the toughest jobs.
