Green Mountain International (GMI) was one of the earliest members of the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI). ICRI was founded in the early 1990’s. Over the decades, GMI has found ICRI to be a very helpful partner in its efforts to grow, meet new customers, and build lasting relationships. Typically, ICRI has two conferences each year as well as an event at the World of Concrete trade show in Las Vegas. There are also many technical committees from which to choose. 2022’s Fall Conference is just around the corner, November 7-9 in Atlanta. The focus of this conference will be Fire, Impact, Blast: Repairs after Extraordinary Events. I plan to attend.
Additionally, I am proud to serve as the President for the ICRI Carolinas Chapter, which covers both North and South Carolina. This will be a big year for the chapter, as it will be celebrating its 30th year. For the 2023 year, the board is currently planning a spring conference in Charleston, SC and a fall conference in Charlotte, NC. These seminars provide a great opportunity to pick up some PDHs, network with peers, and meet potential customers. Golf at some great courses is often an option, as well.
In summary, if you have interest in joining ICRI, I encourage you to click on the links above and learn a little more about the organization. It has a great collection of engineers, contractors, distributors and manufacturers from the construction industry. As a result, it is an excellent focus of any concrete repair company’s time and effort.
