Polyurea Joint FillerMountain Grout MGP-168 is a two-component, hybrid polyurea joint filler formulation.  This polyurea joint filler protects joints in concrete slabs and can withstand heavy, hard-wheeled traffic.  It is packaged in bulk as well as convenient dual-component cartridges.  Installers pump the cartridge product with a manual dual cartridge caulking gun.  Static mixers, which thoroughly blend the two components, are included with each dual cartridge.

As with all chemical reactions, pH can be a factor in the reactivity and long-term performance of this Mountain Grout system.  Mountain Grout MGP-168 can be successfully applied where the pH of the water on site is as low as 2. Further, the cured product will retain its flexibility after exposure to the acidic water. If questions arise about MGP-168’s ability to withstand chemical attack from other sources, please consult the Aromatic Polyurea Chemical Resistance Chart on the Mountain Grout Website. In brief, the polyurea joint filler stands up well to attack from many chemicals, including Acids, Ammonium Hydroxide, Gasoline, Motor Oil, Sulfuric Acid, and many more.

MGP-168 can be used to fill the annular space between a plastic pipe and polymer concrete. Furthermore, it adheres well to a variety of surfaces and forms a tight bond to seal troublesome cracks and joints.
